How to apply.
Admission to the Conservatory begins with a conversation, not a form. The process is the same warm, personal exchange whether a family is entering Foundation Studio at six or auditioning for the College Program — sized to the tier the student is entering.
The process
Four steps to enrollment.

Reach out
Write to the Conservatory office to introduce the student — age, instrument or discipline, and any prior training. We will follow up to arrange a conversation.

The conversation
Every family begins with an introductory conversation with the Conservatory office. We talk through the student's background, the right age tier, and what the weekly rhythm would look like.

Meet the instructor — and audition where applicable
Foundation admissions are conversational: a meeting with the prospective private-lesson instructor confirms instrument and level. Pre-College and the College Program include an audition — a prepared solo and, at the College level, a sight-reading assessment and a brief theory interview.

Enroll
Once placement is settled, the office walks the family through registration, tuition, and the semester calendar. Most enrollment happens in spring and summer for the fall semester; mid-year entry is sometimes possible depending on faculty availability.
By tier
What admission looks like at each tier.
Foundation Studio (ages 6–11): conversational admission. An introductory conversation and a meeting with the prospective instructor to confirm instrument and level.
Pre-College (ages 12–18): an audition with the prospective private-lesson instructor in addition to the introductory conversation. Students transferring from other programs place based on the audition and the student's age.
College Program (the Associates Degree in Music): admission by audition and conversation — a prepared solo, a sight-reading assessment, and a brief theory interview. Outside applicants are welcome.
