Recorded in one week at a small intimate studio in downtown Franklin, Tennessee — a concept project of entirely instrumental Christmas arrangements, made in a flurry of four creative days with Bill Wolaver arranging in the studio lounge and bringing charts hot off the press into the main room for recording. The record produced the Band's signature trilogy of “Sussex Carol,” “What Child Is This,” and “We Three Kings,” along with their bluegrass-flavored “Go Tell It On The Mountain.”
