Alex Wolaver is a Juilliard-trained violist, producer, entrepreneur, and member of the Annie Moses Band, with whom he has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. Trained under Itzhak Perlman, he is a winner of the Curb Concerto Competition and has performed as a soloist with the Nashville Symphony and as principal violist of both the Juilliard Symphony and the Disney Young Musician's Symphony Orchestra. As a producer, his credits include the Emmy-nominated PBS special The Art of the Love Song and the Billboard Top Ten album This Glorious Christmas. Alex also serves as a key strategic and business leader of the Annie Moses Foundation, driving partnerships, fundraising, and platform development — while remaining deeply committed to teaching viola and chamber music to the next generation of artists.

Alex Wolaver is a performer, songwriter, producer, and entrepreneur living in Columbia, Tennessee with his wife, Berklee, and their seven children. Juilliard-trained under the legendary Itzhak Perlman, he is a man of wide-ranging gifts — violist, poet, filmmaker, actor, and educator — whose work spans the concert stage, the recording studio, and the world of arts business.
As a violist, Alex's credentials are extraordinary. He won the prestigious Curb Concerto Competition and has performed as a soloist with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra. He served as principal violist of both the Juilliard Symphony and the Disney Young Musician's Symphony Orchestra — a testament to the depth of his classical training and the breadth of his early career.
As a member of the Annie Moses Band, Alex has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry and contributed to a string of chart-topping recordings, including American Rhapsody and This Glorious Christmas, which reached the Top Ten on Billboard Magazine's Classical Crossover chart. He co-produced the Emmy-nominated PBS special The Art of the Love Song — one of the Band's most celebrated projects.
Behind the scenes, Alex is the strategic and entrepreneurial engine of the Institute of Annie Moses. He also brings that same level of dedication to the studio and the classroom, where he teaches viola and chamber music with the depth and insight of a master artist.
